Few days ago, some people in our school cheated during the mid term exam and someone told this to office. It is obvious that people who cheated during the exam were wrong at that time but , there are some people who blame on person who tell all this cheating happen to office because some of them were about to take the exam again. I was just curious about why that person told the office that some people cheated? Because that person might know that he or she have to take the exam again when office know this happen. I am actually proud of that person because that person was okay with taking the exam again but not okay with cheating issue. I think that person keep integrity very well. My question is , Why do we need to keep the integrity like this? What is good to keep the integrity?

Some people may think "having integrity wouldn't benefit myself in any way so why have it", which is true and understandable in many cases. It's natural for humans to do whatever is good for themselves at the expense of others. I can't answer why integrity is important to keep, because it is if you care, it's not if you don't care. Events that involve dishonesty happen every day in our world, people get away with it all the time, and the ones with integrity are left, standing up for morals that are stepped upon and laughed at by those who think "we are naive". Maybe we are naive, because who cares about integrity? Only ourselves. To me, integrity is self-respect. Those well known quotes, if even you don't believe in yourself, who will? You are your own worst enemy.... same logic. If you are dishonest even to yourself, who have you become? Knowing who you really are is such a big thing in life. So is having self-respect, because we have to live with ourselves for our entire existence.

Integrity is something that is a promise with you. Of course, you don't need to keep it but by keeping it, you wouldn't have to feel guilt of what ever you do. You are doing something right rather than wrong. If you don't keep it and just forget about it, then good for you. However, in most cases, people would feel guilty for not keeping integrity. You can either keep the promise or break it. I think many people would prefer keeping the promise rather than breaking them.

It is important to have integrity for yourself and others. If you practice integrity by respecting others and being honest, people will trust you and respect you in return. You will even influence others around you to have honesty. Eventually, you will create a loving economy full of positivity. As Grace mentioned, some people think those who live up to their morals are too "naive". I personally pity those people because they are unable to see what is truly important because they are so blinded by materialistic wealth and achievements. Why must we cheat and drag each other down? Why can't we simply coexist?

It is significant to have integrity in yourself. If you are the person who has integrity, your personal relationships and professional relationships will be genuine and the people around you will know they can trust you with anything. Also, people will give you higher responsibilities because they know and feel like you will always go on a right track. Moreover, if you stand up for doing the right thing, people will have a great respect for you.

Integrity is important to keep because that will decide if people around you will trust you or not. Not only that, it is a fight between you and yourself. You may lie through your life but other people will eventually notice that you don't have integrity at some point. It's really up to individuals whether they want to keep integrity or not.

Integrity isn't always easy, especially when it's possible to take an easier way out. However, integrity is an important quality we need to possess if we want to grow up into responsible adults. Integrity means that we don't have to worry about hiding from future consequences of our actions - we know that everything we've done is righteous and honorable. Continuous actions of integrity naturally leads us to gain the trust as well as respect of others, for we are seen as dependable and ethical. We become the role models for those around us. This leads to us being given higher responsibilities because people know that we'll always do the right thing.

We cannot expect our world to become a better place if we don't strive to achieve that in the first place. In the same way, if we are not honest to ourselves, how can we expect anyone else to be honest to us? I feel like we all struggle mentally to decide what the right thing is to do when it comes to a situation like the cheating incident. Self respect is important in that moment. Being responsible at that time will help us in the future with bigger decisions that we have to make. Everything happens for a reason and I'm glad that this incident took place because we can all learn something from it.

In my personal opinion, we all have an integrity inside of us. It is an issue that we take integrity or not in real world. Some people choose not to take integrity because they don't want to be in a trouble. Some people take integrity because they don't want something to be wrong in society. I think it is better to keep integrity because when you take it, you feel less guilty inside of us. It is wrong that we take actions to feel less guilty inside of us because we are not surving and helping others but I think by taking an integrity at least we were help the society and ourselves.

For a student who is taking Mr.Berry's cluncool, we learned about the importance of integrity for the first week of 2nd semester and as he taught us more about integrity, it felt like integrity just might be a small part of our life and might not seem to have a big influence on our outer appearance but, as the habits of integrity grows, I feel like its going to greatly influence your life in some kind of way and it just feels good to be honest with yourself and others so we do need to keep integrity in minds forever.

We're not perfect. I'm not perfect. Nobody is perfect. So I don't know how to make a perfect world. I have a hard time understanding the concept of 'perfect'. So I will not get into that topic. But talking about the cheating incident, yes they did wrong. That was not acceptable. I don't know if a lot of people know but they confessed so that other students like us don't suffer by taking the retest. Now that's a brave thing to do I think and in the end they are trying to clean up the mess. I think that matters a lot. So I think we should be considerate and try to help them out because I bet it's not an easy situation to be in.

Integrity is what makes us glorious, modest, and trustworthy. Everybody makes mistakes and it's more harder to keep the mistake covered than to confess it honestly. It hurts everyone's feelings and of course, you're going to be the one who suffer the most. In any ways, being faithful to yourself and others makes everyone comfortable. The people who confessed that they've cheated the mid-term test showed such a great bravery and integrity to other students. The students didn't have to take the test again and the people who cheated didn't get and F for the whole entire course. Even though, the 3 students might've made a mistake but, I was glad that they found their pace again and confessed to keep their glorious integrity.

Not everyone practices integrity, but for those who do, it has become a habit and they know it helps them achieve other virtues and makes their lives more peaceful, meaningful, and comfortable. Continually practicing integrity is important because it will become a habit, and you will think it's wrong not to keep your commitment. As long as you hold onto your integrity, you can find consistency in life and feel at peace with yourself at all times.

Everyone has personal integrity but not everyone tends to keep them for ourselves. We think that we are honest at times but deep down, we may not be honest. Be it being honest to ourselves or to others. Like the incident in our own school as Sangjoon mentioned, I also think it is very important for someone to show an example to others of integrity. Like the paying forward movement, one person showing integrity can spark the light of others to show their integrity.

Personally, I blame our society for making the situation in which it stimulates students to cheat. Humans are naturally greedy and wants to do better. If we didn't live in a society so discrimination based on education, money, and family, would such an event taken place? I truly admire those that fight against their wanting to be better and keep the integrity. But at the same time, I can't really blame the cheaters for everything, either.
