The ghost isn't real in this scene in my opinion. I think Hamlet finally went over the edge when he killed Polonius by accident. His mother, the source of his anger was also next to him when that happened, so Hamlet's character suddenly changed then. So I conclude that his character went mad at that point. When his madness took over him, he sees a ghost, and Gerturde doesn't, so I don't think this is a coincidence.

I think that the Ghost was not real too. I think that the ghost was his imagination that allowed him to think that what he was doing was okay. I'm not sure if the Ghost that talked to Hamlet was real in the beginning either, because he's the only one who talked to it and the Ghost's story was so convenient to Hamlet's feelings and situation. I think that the Ghost is how Hamlet justifies his violent actions.
