There are no more posts to answer. We are graduating and this feels amazing. We have like three weeks left, and these days, weeks go by so slowly. We have a few things left to do before we're completely done. Such as our eng final project.
What do you guys think about our final project? What do you think you'll learn from this? Is there anything you learned from previous projects you did such as trial?
Personally I like this final project because I'm doing Lady Macbeth and I'm excited to watch the movie Macbeth. Also, the trial project was definitely not easy and I can't recall what exactly I learned from it but I had an interesting experience being a lawyer. Projects and uncoolignments from high school over the four years taught me so much stuff, starting from how to make a PPT, to how to work in a group. Now that I've done this for four years I think I can learn more from things outside of school such as personal projects. Teachers are keep telling me to finish strong and not slack off until the very end but this is hard because I've done these for years and i don't know what I can learn from them anymore.

I think I've learned a lot from group projects in high school. They're almost always filled with problems, until I stopped caring. Not in a negative way like I stopped producing quality work or trying to reach a certain standard that I am satisfied with. I realized that goals change when you are working towards it with other people. You are creating something new as a group, it's impossible to reach whatever picture you have in mind for a great project. And it's cool that way because each time you work with different people, it's a whole new experience, and I've learned deeply, that all kinds of people exist in this world. I think I have grown to become capable of working in groups over these four years. I feel a bit uneasy about this final project because I cannot find a piece of literature I am very interested by. And since we have to teach it and make it fun and do all that for 20 minutes, it's crucial to like what I choose. I think the trial was interesting as well. Senior year has showed me that I can do a lot of things when I am not under pressure just fine.

I'm really excited about doing A Modest Proposal because I've read a bit about it two years ago and found it hilarious. It got its message across really well and I'd probably have trouble forgetting it for as long as I live. I want to do the story justice by finding a way to teach it properly. I've never been that good at presenting though, so I think the best option for me is to treat it like drama and script it. It's the most concrete way for me to prepare and I really should start doing it for my presentations. Not to mention, I've had a ton of practice memorizing. As for the trial, well it taught me how to work toward a common goal and think ahead. We had the end result for Hamlet, and the witnesses and evidence were stepping stones, bringing us to the conclusion. I just hope I don't fall sick before something important, like right before an exam or a presentation, because I'm sick of having to blame external factors.

Honestly, This is the first time I feel so excited about English project. I am gonna some things about art and moral also it relate to knowledge. Also, it was interesting to experiment my two of high school in Kent I learn a lot as group or individual. But I found some people really lazy I don't like to work hard as with group or they just start to work on sometimes they work on nights before day do. That same time I feel the days is really going to slow for graduation day.

I think that most of us will finally be able to enjoy the final English project because we chose a story we like, or something that we have some interest in. Personally, I like animals so thats why I chose Federigo's Falcon, a story about a man and his falcon, so I know thats why I'll have some fun reading this story. As long as there is something we have interest in in whatever we do, we will able to enjoy ourselves.

I honestly can't believe how time went by so fast. To be honest, I never liked projects that our English teachers gave us however, in Ms.Boyds cluncool where we teach something that we learned, it just felt awesome when I saw that my cluncoolmates were actually listening and participating. It just gave me the thought that maybe teachers teach because of this feeling. Although, the progress of preparing for the teaching that you want to give to others may be difficult, after everything is done it just feels great to show off something that you know but the others don't. It's going to be hard work but I look forward to this final project.

I really had fun time doing mine back in tenth grade. It's been really long since then, but I remember my story: how much land does a man need? I thought I would have all the land, and I thought I would need all of it. But now, I have only a fraction of that left, yet I am still here, perfectly fine. I guess that means that I didn't need all that land, after all.

YAY!!! First of all, congratulations on your commitment you SUNNY BUNNY!! Even though, we're not done yet, we are almost there to graduate. Actually, Ms. Boyd's trial was the best project for me to do for my whole entire school life in Kent. It was so much fun and I actually got to experience a mini trial! Being a different character made me feel like an actor and being at a trial made me rethink about my job again. Everybody had a hard time once during this 4 years (I believe) worrying about college, jobs, families and our identity. We were once lost and it took us a while to come back to an original life. It was my honor to spend my school years with you. Our school projects and uncoolignments made us to grow our grit.

Many of the last year graduates say, "I am not coming back" or things like, "I'm not gonna miss this place" or maybe even things like, "I HATE KENT" But it was really surprising when they still remember the uncoolignments that they in English cluncool and English cluncool only. They told me to listen carefully in English cluncool, for them, learning APA format was the best thing that the school ever told them. They said that Ms. Boyd got them prepared for college because they had to do everything in APA format. Even their essays, and all of their uncoolignment, with in text citations, bibliography, and title pages. They are still thankful to Ms. Boyd for what she taught them and I think that I will be proud to be the graduate of KENT, and from Ms. Boyd's cluncool. There are so many things that I've learned from this course, about literature, politics, history, and even bits of life lessons. There are so many things that you can learn in English cluncool besides the uncoolignments and projects. I think because English covers such a vast number of subjects, there are so many things that we can learn. Congratulations for everyone who got into Universities

Well I am really excited about the graduation, but the road there is somehow getting harder and harder. Finals are coming up, there is the AP tests, and with really bad timing, the final project will also being going on during my AP Statistics test week. So I'm not that excited for the upcoming weeks if I have to be honest. But still, I will admit that Kent was a nice place, and I will miss here when I graduate. I guess we should all do our best so that we don't have any regrets after we graduate. Live like it's the last day you can!

It's funny how much we change as our goals come closer to us. I'm sitting here writing my discussion board posts while watching fail videos on Youtube when I'm supposed to be studying for my AP exam. To answer your question, I have always been interested in literature and creating stories. However, over the past years the amount that I spend on writing and reading has significantly gone down. So I'm glad that we have uncoolignments like this to keep us reminded about the magnificent stories of the past. Even the trial was a fun way to put the story of Hamlet into application. We were able to learn about the characters and plot while covering some major essential questions through the trial.

I agree with Emily! Because we were able to choose our own stories, I think that we can get really creative with how we analyze it and present it in cluncool. I chose "The Man and the echo" since the themes of the poem overlap with some of the things we learned in cluncool like death and afterlife. I think one of the most important things I learned in English is creativity. While reading Hamlet and many other stories, we came up with our own interpretations and critiqued them which allowed me to become more open minded and creative.

For the final project, I'm really happy of my decision of the poem that I chose. Just because of how it's really related to us, the students, coming from different cultures and either learning from other cultures, or teaching your own culture to others. Additionally that the poem also talks about traveling alot, which also applies for summer plans probably. The big lesson I'll learn from it is basically constant change from the poem, as it also talks about always seeking for change rather than stability, which might very well suits my character. And the project I learned the most from was the trial, although I disliked it because you are basically forced to go straight into the point and presenting facts rather than feelings. But also tells of how sometimes courts can be really unfair of deciding whether the victim is innocent or guilty.

I think the presentations for our final project will be interesting, but I can’t help but worry about the timing of this project. We are currently in the middle of our APs, and it’s difficult to juggle all these projects along with the AP tests. It is probably my fault for not starting it earlier, but I felt that I was busy with the trial as well as homework from other cluncooles.
I feel that this final project will help us learn to teach a cluncool, but also understand our own stories more. People always say that teaching is the most effective way to learn a topic, and by attempting to teach the literature, we will get a better understanding of the story. From my literature A Modest Proposal, I hope to decipher the art of satire as well as the issues plaguing that time period.

I think final project provides us as a student to take a step forward to real world. As we discussed how we will present our materials to cluncoolmates, Ms. Boyd emphasized about "SOAPS" technique. From now, I hope everyone knows what those acronym stands for. By carefully looking at it, it is true that SOAPS skill applies to everything no matter what we do. I think it is the most significant skills we need in real life because everyone will use this skill. For example, as we grow up, we were taught in a different way. When we were young, teachers tried to entertain us or use candies to attract our attention. However, as we get older, teachers more focused on context than entertainment because our set of mind is mature and developed enough to more consider on education. Throughout English cluncool, I have learned many skills that are necessary. Trial was interesting, too.
