Money, life, money and life. The lifestyle you prefer costs money, everything costs us money.
What would we be like without money? The importance of money has become so embedded in the world today. I wanted to bring this out to you guys to read about what you guys think about money.
Let's start off with talking about a small community where people are the top 1% of Korea's social cluncool. International school students, that's right, our students, the students of Korea Kent Foreign School. The first thing that pops into my mind when I think of not just of our school, but of other international school students are just Asians that can speak English. However, not all my friends are from international schools but are from Korean public schools. One day, they asked me how much our school was so I told them how much our school was and how the price of our school's tuition is a lot cheaper than other schools. After they heard this, they couldn't close their mouths that were dropped down with shock. They then asked me how much money everyone uses when "we" as in international students use when we hang out. I told them it was around fifty thousand won because that is about the average of what people would use during the weekends.
Some people tend to use more money depending on what they are doing. There are other factors that are pretty clear in school.
Even in our schools, there are students that don't care about what we wear or what we buy, there people that seriously care about what they wear and the brand of their clothing, and there are people that can't pay for them. I mean, a price close to a thousand dollars for a T-shirt? I consider it to be insane. Insanity. that is what I think of when I see people use that much money on something that isn't worth that much But others may think different. Similar to this, individuals hold different thoughts and perspectives about the money we spend in our daily lives. What can we do without money? What can we do with money? Isn't using money limited? Now I'm starting to think that money can even buy happiness of a person, or the acceptance of a person. What do you guys think about the money YOU use and compare them to your peers and try to answer because it would probably be different than comparing the use of your money to other fellow international students than to your Public school friends if you have them.

What can we do with moeny? Probably everything! I've seen people who says money can't buy everything but I think that is nonsense. In this world, number one thing that matters is money. If you have tons of money but your manners are bad, people will still serve you under good payments. I'm not saying manners are not important but money is the key factor that runs this world. If there was no money-system, then I guess it's going to be trading with products to products. However, there is still a value of goods. A cow is more valuable than a banana right? So doesn't matter if money is gone, properties are going to replace money.

To add to Eric's point, there's no way to blip money out of existence since trading has existed throughout all time. So if money suddenly disappeared tomorrow, we'll end up using either valuable metals or just goods to use for exchange. As long as people are greedy, there is always money in some form. The only way to not have a use for money is if you live away from any society, say stranded alone on an island. There'll be no one to exchange to, and you take whatever you find in the wilderness. Other than that, no one has patented air yet, so there's that, but other than that... We buy goods, patent ideas, claim ownership of land, ask for services, and hire workers with money, all while indirectly attracting other money oriented people, so... What can't we do with money? Unless some people are satisfied with living apart from society, money can buy everything. Drat.

Hahahaaa!~~ it's so funny isn't it? our tuition is cheaper than lot of international schools in Korea, but yet comparing to other public schools or schools back in my country, a huge number of students can study. We are all defined by money now. What brand of cloth do you wear, what smartphone do you have, where do you hang out during the weekends and last but not least how much do you have in your credit card or check card or whatever you use. So was life better during that time when we had trading system? I think so! Because back then we didn't have this complex and dumb judging meter to judge people basing how much money they have.

I think money is idealism of judge something. We put price on things and we pay them. With money we can't buy family and true friends because we can't judge them with number or value. I think without money, there will no equal judgements or value of something. For example, before money was created, people trade with objects. Like rice with water. Some people be rooked because they can't estimate the right value of things. I think money was created because people getting knowledge, so they want to make everything valued well and judged. The money is import to our life, but in the other hand, money creates gaps between people. We start to judge other with how rich are they and what brand their using. This creates someone isolating from society and gap between groups.

Wishing that money should not exist is too much of an utopian idea. It is ideal to think that the world can exist without money and therefore less violence. However, the truth is that the world cannot exist without money- humans want to get more by their nature.

As toufiq said money became a way of judging people. We judge people by what they wear, what they own and everything. In today's society social media is doing a huge job with advertising these products and obviously they are expensive, so when people buy them spending so much money, and they count as cool people. Just like basketball shoes, if you are wearing Lebron's or Jordan's sure you are rich and you have a better life than others because people appreciate you and try to hangout with them more often. Money can define a person. I've heard so many people says in our school "oh he/she is rich" this make them put into a higher social status than others. Money made our society into a more complex zone.

Yeah, Money can probably buy anything but it is the root of evil. It's is quiet sad to see that money can buy everything and people are interested in money. I think the society is all messed up and the government too. Money is taking over the society and everyone is becoming greedy. I think money doesn't matter to me. If you have a lot of money and have a bad personality, sure many girls or guys will come to you but they will only be interested in the money and NOT you. Money has a big role in our life but I think money is not everything.

I am actually quite surprised that so many of you said you can buy everything with money! I personally believe that there is at least one thing you can't buy with money, and that is happiness. Money may increase materialistic quality of your life, but it does not guarantee happiness. People's greed is endless. This apply to rich people too. Even if they buy all the brand name products and other luxuries, they will never be satisfied. They will still crave for more. Also, I personally believe happiness comes from the process of achieving it, not when it is achieved. While you are at the process, you feel motivated and have reason to live. The more effort you put into achieving it, the more happiness and sense of proudness last afterwards. For example, you will treasure a necklace you worked months for to buy more than necklace you got it for free.

Money!!!!! iMoney does not mean every thing in the life, also I disagree with Tharu and toufiq said money became a way of judging people. We judge people by what they wear, that is something i believed it is truth because there is many people in our school they wear every good clothes and have every good smartphone any way but they are real smart and they are not simple people, also if we judging people own what they have and money that will be something do so bias, also happiness can not be if have a lot of many it can if have sample life.

It is true that money controlls everything these days although we do not want to admit this reality. But,I sometimes think of what is something more worthy than money. For me, I think the dept of human relationship and trust is something that does not related to money. I am sure that there are more other moral values that does not get any affect from money. In my personal opinion, it is hard to ignore the power of money to survive in this society.

Money plays a huge factor in society today; probably nothing is more crucial for survival in the modern world than money. When you said that comparing monetary spending between public and international school students would probably be very different, this may not always be the case. There are many public school students who actually do have lots of money but just choose to attend a public school; whether the reason is because they cannot attend an international school because they don't meet the requirements, or that they would rather attend a public school where there are many more people (usually). I also agree with those who said that money can buy material happiness these days; even though people always say that money can't buy love or feelings, I feel like this saying does not apply to our modern world today. Money plays too big of a role, and that fact will probably never change.

I think there's no way for us to get rid of money. Even if we get rid of the currency system we use now, we'll always find another way to pay for things or trade things between each other. Because we all need things to live and can't, for example, farm every food that we need by ourselves, we have to trade to survive.

I agree with you guys! People tend to think that money is the only way to enrich their lives. Money does allow us to achieve laudable goals and may provide greater opportunities, but there are other ways to do it. This is an issue because how we measure success in life changed. Is it truly right to judge people on how much money they made in life? I think people need to care about what kind of lives they live instead of depending on money itself for happiness because the unwise of money will likely bring misery to their lives.
