I believe manipulation can be sometimes good and bad depending on the situation. For example, there was a cult named "Heavens Gate". Heaven's Gate was a group founded in the early 1970s and led by Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles. On March 26, 1997, police discovered the bodies of 39 members of the group who had committed muncool suicide in order to reach what they believed was an alien space craft following Comet Hale–Bopp. A leader, Applewhite manipulated 39 members of the group to commit muncool suicide to reach another world. The muncool suicides were more likely induced by a unstable leader who needed followers that would understand and relate to him and his teachings. It is known that Applewhite did suffer from health and mental conditions that might have influenced his crazy idea that everyone was aliens and needed to exit the Earth through suicide.

I don't think that manipulation is the most evil act of a human. Manipulation is not a right thing but we can't say it's a right thing too. Because there are still some good manipulations too. Of course the point of controlling people's mind is bad, but I'm talking about this in terms of result it may cause at the end. If the manipulation is done to fulfill your want and harming the person, that's totally wrong, but there are some manipulations that lead you to do the "right" things in terms of human moral. So I do think that it depends on the result it cause.

Actually manipulation was not bad the important thing we use manipulation for what? Is it good or bad? so people use that for good things and bad things i think most of people use it for bad things as an example, ISIS was a evil team they have a big community so they use people for their bad works by manipulation also manipulation can use for good things as an example, UNICEF was a big society who helping people they also have a big community to help for people they use manipulation for good things.
