I honestly think the world isn't going to despair nor hope. The world is progressing as time goes but is a little different from technology. We need to learn to become knowledgeable, learn new ideas, learn new skills, and force our limits to come up with something new, such as the variety of sources of technology we have today. I think the world is not based on these technologies or hopes of people. Hope is something we rely on. It is more like the concept of when we want to leave a house, normally we would use the front door to get out of the house, but if you can't, you would use the back door; either way, you will still be in the same land or same garden, same neighbourhood.

I don't think I have a right to choose a side to this question. There are so many good and bad situations going on every moment in this world, and compared to the past there are many pros and cons as well. One, our modern day is full of science and technology, with medicines which can cure many diseases and scientists making thousands of new discoveries, while just a few thousand years ago people had a hard time curing a common cold. However, due to this advanced technology, the world is also much more dangerous than before with nuclear and hydrogen bombs, us humans using up all the natural resources here on earth and slowly degrading our land. There are so many more points to this argument, one there is no end to.

"Is the world approaching to hope or more of a despair?", for this question, I would rather say neither. The world is going to maintain this two-sided situation having both good and bad issues. Even though, science and technology can reduce our concerning, there's always going to be other risky problems which we'll have to face. The world does have hope but, it'll always have despair. It's actually ironic to say we have hope, if we don't have a collapsed moments. Hope exists because we have hard moments in our life and if we don't, then we'll have the idealistic society which is the Utopian society. I don't think the Utopian society will ever happen in this world. Since the world doesn't become a Utopian society, it'll always despair and people will always have hope.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbuUW9i-mHsThis video explains that even though the world seems like it's getting more depressing, in reality it may actually getting better. We are having lesser wars than the past, our lives are getting longer, there are less diseases... It really depends on perspective. Even though physically the world might be getting better, maybe to our mental minds its getting worse. Like we worry about college and our future, being afraid we might become jobless... But people 100 years ago had to worry about what food they will eat or not. Which is worse?
