I do believe that Hamlet's actions were a factor in his death, though I can't clearly state if they was the only causes. If Hamlet hadn't hesitated in killing Claudius, he would never have accidentally killed Polonius, Claudius would never have gotten the chance to tell Laertes of Hamlet's role in Polonius' death, and Laertes would never have poisoned the rapier for the fencing duel. His hesitation started a chain reaction of consequences that eventually lead to his demise.

I think Hamlet caused his own death because he brought corruption to Denmark. He was insane and full of madness. since in the being of the story, I found that goal of Hamlet is revenge and all his thought and plan to kill his uncle. But because fear of death he stops sometimes , he did not know what is behinad the death. in our hand Hamlet's madness lead to the death of everyone in this story.

Hamlet was the cause for his own death, because he was the one who got hated by the entire noble family, even Gertrude started kind of hating him, after he accused her for choosing Claudius. Hamlet is the one who made all of these problems, if he didn't act crazy, none of these problems would occur.

First of all I don't see hamlet as a hero. Neither He has those heroic characteristics like Rama nor he did something heroic like Beowulf. He just seems like a whinny baby to me, who lost his toy or something and crying over and over for it. I get that he lost his father and he wants revenge but he doesn't read the situation well. Which lead him to bring the end to the whole royal family including himself. Also through this entire process Ophelia was an innocent victim which is just sad.

Hamlet did dig is own grave. He was so blinded by revenge, that it was difficult for him to control his emotion. As a result, Claudius noticed potential danger in Hamlet, leading him to plan a scheme against hamlet.

Personally, Hamlet’s depression encouraged his death. His depression started from the beginning of the story. Every event including his father’s death, his mother’s remarriage.. etc combined together and tortured Hamlet throughout the story. At the end, I believe the Yorick’s skull was critical to him. In Act 5 Scene1, when Hamlet saw Yorick’s skull, he questioned to himself that what is the purpose of life. Then, he found that nothing is worth in front of death and death always had been equal to everyone including his father.
