I also agree that she would've been sent to hell because suicide was considered a sin but from today's perspective, I think Ophelia deserves to go to heaven. Like Grace said, although she couldn't control her emotions and eventually drove herself into insanity, she didn't hurt anyone. Unlike Hamlet who turned sadistic from just being psychotic, Ophelia was merely depressed and couldn't overcome grief, which caused her to commit suicide.

Instead of asking why she committed suicide, I want to question about the whole thing about going to hell because of committing suicide. What if the life they are having is a living hell already. I get the point that by scaring them may help prevent this from happening. But I also feel sad for the people who tries to go through with the problems they have. I also can empathize with those who choose not to deal with it anymore.
