To be honest I don't know why lying is considered as a bad thing. Even in simple sentences we tend to lie. It may not be intentional but we still lie. For example, in general if a person knows that they're life is stressful and there are unsolvable problems, they still say "I'm fine." when a person asks them "how are you?". A lie can be hidden in anything. How about lying in the "right" situation or lying justifiably. For example is it wrong if a parent tells a lie to their kid to make them satisfied or to make them a better person? In our society the mindset is that lying is wrong no matter what context it is in, however I disagree with this.

We lie for many reasons, most of the time it's human nature. We lie to protect ourselves from the danger that we think might hurt ourselves, and sometimes we lie for the sake of others. I don't consider all the lies are bad. Lies could be good and bad, the good lies are just not facing the reality and the bad lies are just trying to protect ourselves from the unknown.

It is human nature to lie: no person has been able to not lie their whole life. I think the reason we life is because to protect ourselves from any kind of harm or negative consequences. For example, we probably first lie when we are very young, maybe early elementary school. If our parents ask us whether we took the cookie from the counter or not, we lie to protect ourselves from being punished. So lying must be a survival instinct.
