There's this thing that's been on my mind. If everyone knew when they would die, what would we do? I mean, if we know, then what's the point of living like everyone else, following what society tells us? Wouldn't it be better to live our lives to the fullest before we die like everyone always says? Carpe Diem? I personally would want to live my life the way I want to instead of doing what everyone else does.
What do you guys think? Leave responses!

If we knew (and cared) when we'd die, then "Carpe Diem" would be near impossible, because we'd know when we'd die. We would spend every waking moment of our lives anticipating how we'd die, to the point where we won't be able to experience life properly. There's a chance that we'd become so obsessed by our incoming deadline that we'd spend most of our time preparing every action we'd do before we die to get the best out of it. And, we can't properly enjoy that either, since we'd be essentially filling out a checklist of things to do, just going through the motions so we can get it over with.
I agree with living life the way we want it ourselves, but doing what society expects of us isn't always a bad idea. Going to school isn't a bad idea[citation needed], neither is listening to your parents, getting a job, etc. The point is to consider what others are saying before deciding what's best for yourself.

I honestly can't decide whether if I should know or not know if I had the choice of when my death would come. But for now, I would say I wouldn't want to know because I think I'm pretty satisfied with the life I'm living right now. If I knew when I would die..then I probably would lose hope in living and just lose my focus or I would just yolo in everything that I do not that I don't yolo right now but I would yolo more enthusiastically. But the thing is, in order for myself to seek in what I like to do and what I want to do, I wouldn't want to know when I die.

I don't think it'll make much of a difference, it really depends on believing whether there is an afterlife or not. Resulting to which people can do good or bad on their last day in life. Since everyone really agrees in life that no one is really immortal in life, a time will come of death . To which people's point is just to have to accept and move on, since really all that's what society has been telling us. Additionally that Society isn't always bad, it's just trying to guide us in life a little bit.

If we knew when we were going to die, perhaps in the beginning we would worry too much like Reggie says. But then, we would realize that death is inevitable, so we should just make the most of how much life we've got. So I do believe we would Carpe Diem, care less about living up to the expectations of society since we're aware of the limited amount of time we have.

I don't think knowing the moment and method of my death would matter to me because I would constantly be worrying about it. I'd rather not know. There is more excitement in my life by knowing that I could even die tomorrow. If we know the moment we will die, there is going to restless nights of thinking about my death and he cause of it. However the lesson here is that it doesn't matter if we know when we die. We need to appreciate each day that we do get and make the mos of what is provided for us.

I'd rather want to know when to die, I don't know, somehow I fear of it but somehow I want to know. If I know when I'm going to die, I can yolo for my life and do things that makes me happier! but somehow, I feel like, if I know, it's going to be scary, what if your death date is close, that will make you not happy too. By not knowing when to die, I can just live me ordinary life like I do with is more comfortable.

I want to know when I would die. I would be worried but also will be able to do everything I want to do before I die. I have so much things I would stop doing if I knew when I would die, for example school. I will spend my time travelling and enjoying the moment. When I think about this, I technically know when I will die: in 80 years. So I don't think it's that I don't know when I'll die stopping me from living the moment but fear of regret.
