Last week I posted a response if Is knowledge dangerous? Some of answers yes and of you answer No our depend on. Anyway, all your answers are alright. But I found real life situation talks about the knowledge should be free and people have access to all the information. In the Documentary in the Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz. Aran Swartz, he He is helping to develop some basic internet protocol RSS to his work as a co-founder of Reddit, the programming prodigy helped shape the digital landscape we all able used today. Everyone should have Free internet access there is more piracy on Internets. He gets reset from the government because he locked on Muncoolachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he downloads 2.7 Million Documents. Aron Swartz targets to get the freedom to access all politics information or any articles or historical written and sciences because he believes that everyone rights to have an idea about everything and wealth knowledge should be shared. What do you think about Aaron Swartz? Should we have freedom to access all information on the internet? Should we always sharing a wealth of knowledge? I personally believe in freedom of access for all. Aaron Swartz probably believes in this as well. However, I can also see why the government is hunting him. By leaking information, most likely confidential as well, this brings in chaos. Take a look at the Panama Papers exposing the government about bad deeds. People went crazy about it and chaos ensued. In order to keep control over the people, keep everything nice and easy, it would be better to censor some things instead of continuously spreading information.

Well the thing in panama is they were just exposing people's reality. Most of the famous people around the world who were known to be really good and kind also had their money in the panama thingie, the only thing that we can learn from these kind of matters is that do not trust people. no matter what good face they show upto us, we need to find the truth and face the reality about everybody.

We could see Aaron Swartz's many goals. One of them being preventing SOPA. In my current knowledge, it did not puncool due to the huge protests that Aaron himself started. He believed that everyone had a right to know what ever was going on. However, the question is that EVERYONE can look into the Internet for literally anything if we share anything. As Tharu mentioned, the Panama papers were a great leak for the world to see who were hiding their filthy money. On the other hand, there are information that shouldn't be leaked to enemy countries or organizations if we allow everything to be shared. If the government is ethical enough then I don't see a problem, but the fact that the people in the government are usually the ones with problem, we fall in the infinite dilemma of this corrupted world.

Things like this are happening all the time and all over the world where there is a government. We still dont have access to a lot of current scientific information because of how people might react to it. Although I agree with Jonah that equal access to information can throw the whole world into chaos, it is also the cause of various problems we face today. There has been many debates on whether there should be free access to current scientific research or not. Some are demanding open access because some of the information are essential to students and researchers or even doctors who don't know about the drugs they use everyday. Free access to information is essential to building of knowledge and it is possible only when the entire scientific community is contributing.

Just as your previous question "should we always tell the truth?", this is the real life situation of people's choices. Aaron Swart has his own points but just as Jonah said, he might bring chaos to the world when he starts to leak information about the government or etc. It is hard to say that the government is always hiding for a reason of course, that is why he's saying that everyone has a right to know. However, sometimes his misunderstanding (since it's not an approved information) might bring a huge wrong information to people. I don't think this issue will ever end since it's really their decision to tell the truth or not. Especially for the governments because it's their duty to protect their citizens but also stay trustworthy as well. Aaron Swartz is one of the person who claims that people have the right to know therefore, he's figuring those stuffs for the citizens. However, on the other hand, it might bring a huge confused situations to the people.

Well, knowledge is like money. All of us want it, but not all of us can have it. Free knowledge, in other words, can be thought of free money. And then knowledge is shared, that knowledge, in certain aspects, become less valuable, as anyone can use that knowledge for anything now. These top institutions are the guardians of that knowledge, and they would have been against sharing it, because it was what gave them power.

The internet is very special. To quote Eric Schmidt (the CEO of Google), "The Internet is the first thing that humanity has built that humanity doesn't understand, the largest experiment in anarchy that we have ever had." I think the keyword is ANARCHY. The Internet really has no rules and not much consequences because of anonymity. Some try to control it with internet blocking, but VPNs always exist, so really no one can stop one from using the internet. So information is indeed free and is able to get without hindrance unlike the past. I believe this could be the next step in human development, because anyone can become smart. There are no rules or limitations for growth now. Maybe this could mean danger? Time will tell.
