I think you should tell the truth when you can, but if you know that a lie will protect or help someone more than harm them or has more positive consequences over negative ones, it's okay to lie. For example, if a child's dog is really old and has to be put down, it's better to tell them that they went to live on a nice farm because it'll only hurt the child more to tell them the truth in this case.

Good people say that we should always tell the truth. However, in reality it is hard to be those people. It does matter to tell the truth, but telling lie is better in many ways which we call “white lies.” Therefore, I do not think we should always tell the truth.

I definitely agree with Grace. I'll just answer as a student who takes english cluncool and is learning about Hamlet, not as me. I don't think it would have mattered to tell the truth in the story of Hamlet because then there is no story. Imagine Claudius saying that he killed King Hamlet, or imagine Hamlet sahnig that he is not crazy. I don't know if that'll necessarily make a better world. It is impossible to always tell the truth.

I also agree with jooyoung's opinion. We do not have to tell the truth all the time. Sometimes, we need to tell other people the white lies for them. People all habe human nature of selfishness and this human nature lead people to lie to other people for their benefit. I do not think this as bad because it's human nature. However, i also agree with that we should not lie too much.

I think it is important to stay truthful. And telling the truth actually matters a lot, because it can affect the outcome that would come out after the truth has been told. Yet, there are cases when the truth hurts other people. Thus, hiding the truth might be a better option (Though it is important to note that nothing can be hidden forever). So I think it is actually vital to know when to tell the truth or not.

I think we should always tell the truth. The truth doesn't exist so that we can ignore it and tell a lie, even if it may be a white lie. The truth isn't always the happy story we want to hear, but that doesn't mean that it should be covered up. Even though we might get hurt or panic, we have to learn to accept the reality of what we are told. By alternating between lies and truths, it becomes difficult to differentiate between the two as we start rationalizing lies as white lies to protect us. It forms trust issues, for you never know when someone might by lying to you.

I think that sometimes, it's better to not tell the truth. There are times when a white lie is needed and times when it's better to avoid the subject entirely. If you always told the truth, you might hurt people more than you help them. You might also end up regretting your decision. People want to believe that they can take the truth, but that's not always the case.

telling the true is an great thing that can make you really trustful between the people. but is the true always good, or should we say the truth all the time, will I do not think so , because sometime when you lie that is for a good and for the good of the future ex when you lie to someone so he can not loss you, or when you lie so you can save someone's life, plus there is levels for the lies like who use the lie for good or who use the lies to puncool thro or who use the lies so he can use you and etc ...
