I had a homework from Ms. Boyd's writing cluncool. We have a daily journal and she gives us various topics to write about. This Friday, she gave us a topic. The topic was 'What's the meaning of success?' This topic made me think about for awhile. I don't know what's the true meaning of success. I thought about being rich or living healthy. I didn't felt that those are true meaning of success. I think people that I love and who loves me make my life successful. Therefore, I wrote the meaning of success is living with love ones. I think we need to think about this topic because when we go to college, may be we don't even know what makes our life successful and the meaning of it. I think it is great topic to think about before we go to work.
So.... What's the meaning of success in your life???
If you still not sure then watch those videos~!
I watched and it's nice~

To most people, success means achieving a goal. In order to achieve a goal, a person usually has to work hard and believe in himself. Being successful at what you do can also be very motivating. People who are successful in one project, tend to be more successful in other projects. This is because they get the feeling that their hard work pays off and that a goal is worth their time and effort. Success usually goes hand in hand with appreciation. If someone we know succeeds at what he or she does, we will most certainly congratulate them. This will make them feel good and motivate them even further.

Generally, from a perspective of a guy (not all guys) think that success is having a pretty hot wife, sports car, good house and whatever other stuff. But honestly, I think that all people have different goals in their life. I don't know what it is but there must be. For me, I don't actually have a long term goal as of right now, however I believe that these short term goals will gather up and will become the practices that will lead to my final goal. So I hope that people whoever doesnt have a goal like me right now can find a goal later on in their life

I think success is simply setting a goal and achieving it. So setting a goal is already halfway there, but it's the much easier half. The other half of actually making it happen is what's hard, and it depends on what means we use to reach our goals I think. You could succeed by cheating, but that's success in it's literal meaning only. It doesn't really mean anything if you don't really work for it.

I believe this topic is very good to discuss with each other. Everyone has a different meaning of success, but no one knows their meaning of success. I agree with this words because I have no idea about my meaning of success. Most of the high school students believe that going to college is their meaning of success. However, I believe we have more than that.

Success has somehow been regarded relative, meaning that you need to have more of something to be more successful than others. Partly, this is true, no doubt about it. But then when success is seen other way, I think it really depends. If you love eating expensive dinner outside, money can be success. If success is your friends and family, having those can be counted as success.

Success is just unending. It's like a goal. When one goal is accomplished, another goal appears that needs to be accomplished. Likely, when there is success, there is always another thing that awaits for success. I think true success would come from our experience. As we gain more experience and look back at what we have accomplished, I think we can then truly experience what success is like.

Success usually means "achieving a goal." Most people have goals, no matter whether they know it or not. If you get a lot of money, you might call yourself successful. It means your goal all along was money. But some people are not satisfied with that, and want more. I think real success is when you feel satisfied and don't need more. However the paradox is that humans' greed is endless, and we endlessly crave more. So in that aspect there really is no such thing as true success.

Success can simply be achieving a goal and goals vary so this really varies. People have their own mea ning of success and when you hear the word and close you eyes and imagine you being successful, the image is probably different for everyone. I have my own perspective and image for success but it may change.

I like this topic what's success so, I think depends on the person who did he define the success because every in his life have failed on something he might work on that to success.true success in life cannot be measured with the above-named factors, but instead with the amount of people that are able to live a better and more advanced life because of what you created. Success is normally implied when you perceive you have achieved something in life, which you value

Success varies from person to person. I think that success is dependent on what each person's experience is and what their goals are. You could say that each person has the same goal as others, such as when a student wants to graduate. But That's only a small one compared to their whole lives. Eventually everyone will have their own goals when they go into the real world. Their meaning of success will become different.

I believe people succeed when they learn to be satisfied. People have never ending desires. As soon as we reach a goal, we set the bar up to reach a higher goal. Therefore, we will be stuck in never ending chain of struggle for the end that doesn't exist. However, if we come to appreciate what we already have, then we will become happy. This knowledge of satisfaction acquired through experience is what I would call a success

In my personal opinion, meaning of success is to hava a meaningful people around you. I used to heard that having three real friends near you and 3 people who can share happiness with you is the success of life. I used to heard this since I was in middle school from my parents. And I strongly agree with this quote. I think having good relationship with people around you is the kep of success and first step of success.

I think being successful is achieving some sort of goal. In order to achieve goal, people need to work hard and need perseverance. One method to measure if it was successful or not is measuring its satisfaction. However, since people are so ambitious, even though people meet satisfaction by reaching their goals, people tend to move more forward to reach higher achievements. Therefore, people are actually keep working hard to reach an interminable satisfaction. It really depends whether people will stop or move forward depending on their values.

Yeah, I agree with you guys. Success is achieving your goal. Success does not mean making a lot of money but achieving your goal. If you wanted to be a musician and work hard for it then you will likely to achieve your goal. However, there are sometimes that you can't get achieve your goal even if you put all your work. Sometimes fate comes to you and make it impossible. I believe that achieving your goal is success and having a job you like. Happiness is the major key to success.
