www.theonion.com/article/industrial-revolution-provides-millions-of-out-of--2877Go to the link, and write out how the article uses elements of satire, and write what you think about it. How effective it is at bringing the issue to light/ridiculing it? Then, that person needs to find a new link (can be from the same website) for the next person to write about. And then the next person writes about the next link, and finds a new link for the person after them. Rinse and repeat.

Satire definition ; is a genre of literature, and sometimes graphic and performing arts, in which vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, corporations, government or society itself, into improvement. I think in this article about Industrial Revolution Provides Millions Of Out-Of-Work Children With Jobs. the satirist "has a view of how people and society should behave morally, and contrasts this with what he or she sees as the vices and follies of the time." In other words, satire focuses on mocking various aspects of society and current events in order to convey social or cultural criticism. The iPhone 7 (Parody) Ad: As seen on Imgur! www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNBP18nrRdw Go this link and watch this video and write out how the video used the elements of satire. And What is the satire role in this video?

This video was uploaded in 2012, predicting what the future iPhone 7 would be like. It mentioned that it would be the tallest and thinnest iPhone ever made, giving the user the option of "BodyTime", taking away the fatigue of scrolling because its already long, having better reception because it extends into the air, playing guitar and using it as a long ruler. In my opinion, it didn't really use satire because it wasn't criticizing anything that already existed, it made fun of something that could become a reality in the future. As the title suggests, this video was a "parody" which brought to my curiosity the difference between parody and satire. According to Cliffnotes, "A parody is a composition that imitates the style of another composition, normally for comic effect and often by applying that style to an outlandish or inappropriate subject. "A satire, on the other hand, is intended to do more than just entertain; it tries to improve humanity and its institutions. A satire is a literary work that tries to arouse the reader's disapproval of an object — a vice, an abuse, a faulty belief — by holding it up to ridicule." Interesting! My link is a short, funny article titled Waitress Who Took Over At Table Just Doesn’t Have Same Spark As Richard

Waitress Who Took Over At Table Just Doesn't Have Same Spark As Richard Previously, Grace talked about the "parody" which was a sarcastic behavior of how people handle inappropriate subjects into a humor. This link was more of an article that actually was very unpleasant the customers were after a new waitress started to serve their meals. The customers showed a satire behavior by significantly expressing what she's not good at and mentioned that she doesn't have a same spark with the previous waiter they were served by. However, I was wondering if this case was a satire because I thought satires had to be more sarcastic and elaborated with humor. My personal opinion wasn't really feeling this was a satire, it was just a critical point of how the waitress is doing compared to the previous waiter. My new link is: dailycurrant.com/2016/03/12/donald-trump-i-have-the-greatest-toenails-in-the-history-of-mankind-2/The link is really funny because it's about Donald Trump. I really hope you get the satire right there if you just see the purpose of the writer writing about this article. What kind of satire did the writer use of Donald Trump's toenails?

Politics Donald Trump: ‘I Have The Greatest Toenails In The History of Mankind” First of the all the website is pretty funny, because the website is not called the "Daily Current" but the "Daily Currant". The article is pretty short and basically ridicules Donald Trump for everything he has said during his nomination rallies. He writes as if Donald really talked about his toenail, because it is believable , considering all the BS Donald Trump has talked about over the year. The writer also calls his speeches "standard stump speech" because people has gotten used to the fact that he spouts nothing but BS. My new link is: www.theonion.com/graphic/tips-hosting-oscar-party-52428The article is making fun of the Academy Awards. What aspects of the awards is the author making fun of?

LOOOL Tips For Hosting An Oscar Party So this article is really short because it just gives a set of points of how to open an Oscar Awards. It talks about how the Oscars never invite the "legit" film makers but just famous ones. It also criticizes the fact that the Oscars is not diverse. Yes we all heard about this how white people on wins in (FACT). It's genuinely really funny but also really disappointing because we can see one of the greatest film awards is full of fakes and racism included. My new link is www.theonion.com/graphic/tips-getting-out-debt-52383It gives you "tips" to get you out of dept. LOL

Love the satire from your article, johnny. As many people suffer from debt, it is talking about how to get out of it. It's more like a joke, as it talks about making false identities to spread the debt, ask credit card companies to lower the rate, and use cash so that you don't use credit card. In all, this is a highly unrecommended ways. The first one puts you with the maniacs in jail. The second will only make the company laugh. The third will only put you in debt in different ways. my link is www.theonion.com/article/obama-follows-white-stallion-moonlit-rose-garden-51554

Obama Follows White Stallion Into Moonlit Rose Garden This is a metaphorical satire. I don't fully understand what its making fun of. Perhaps because I'm not very aware of American politics. Maybe it is making fun of our president Park Geun hye because it mentions her, and everyone makes fun of her all the time. It talks about how Obabma saw a white stallion in the moonlight.
