What do people see more important nowadays when they meet new people- the external or the internal. When I say external, I do not mean simply the appearance. I am talking about wealth, school, family, power- everything worldly. To some it up, these external qualities are things that everyone strive for, but only a few can get it. In comparison, when it comes to internal side, I mean characteristics, emotions, and moral values. These things, on the other hand, are sought for by some, but not necessarily everyone. It is also important to note that this is not limited in numbers.
If I ask which is more important, I would probably get the internal side. If I ask which people value more, then it would be a different story. What do you guys think? |

I personally think when people first meet each other, they value the external parts of people. Since we get attracted to the external features from other people (in this case, I don't mean if you're pretty or not), we still have to admit that we don't only see the internal parts of people. Agreeing with timmy, I really think people value the wealth and power when they first meet each other and I also think it can continue throughout in a long-term relationship. I really want to say that I value the internal part more which is true but I cannot ignore the external features that I got attracted when I met someone and became friends. The reason why I got to know someone was sometimes we had a similar background, similar living cluncool which was based on my environment. I personally value more on the internal part of a person, but I think I mostly get to meet that person because we have similar external features.

I also agree with melody's opinion. People tend to regard external side of other people more when they first to get to know each other. That's why people are keep taking care of their appearence more these days. Especially, there is also the research result exists that company tend to pick more good outlooking people. Because of these situations, the plastic surgery rate is keep increasing these days.
