As a senior, we're all busy doing school homework, works to prepare for college, maintaining our GPAs, basically wrapping up our duties and graduate from high school. However, after graduating, your life will be totally different. Unlike solving some math homework and practicing for your ACTs or SATs, you're going to be in college and eventually, you'll work somewhere where they pay you money.
Here in Korea, as soon as we become 19, we are officially declared as 'adults' in law and allowed to do what we weren't allowed to do when we were teenagers.
From now (As a 'Korean Law' perspective), we have about 3 months left from being an 'official' adult. This means laws will apply to you differently. Therefore, your responsibilities and duties will get heavier from now. As a 'Newbee' to the society, you'll get more pressure and tough tasks that you have to overcome. We will be unfamiliar with it and we'll make lots of mistakes which will sometimes frustrate us and make us unconfident. However, we will eventually adopt in different ways of being an adult and win out our risks successfully.
Instead of creating a discussion, I wanted to make a little note page what you guys want to be and what you'd like to do when you're an adult! You can also promise and advice yourself as you are preparing to be an adult. I would be happy to know about your interests! The answers can be miserable and silly, however, since I will have less chance to see some of the students at Kent after the graduation, I want to know the dreams you guys are going to look for and chase after it.

I can't agree more with you Melody. As a senior myself at KKFS, in three months, I will also be an official 'adult' and become independent in all of my actions. I will be the one who will be responsible for my actions in the real world and the society. Although this means I will have to go to the military soon, let's put that aside and think about me as a "Newbee" in the society. I have made some uncountable mistakes in my life and it will be a lie if I say I will not make any mistakes from now on. However, being adult means that you think about the risks and remind yourself everyday about the important things in your life. This will be the driving force in your actions. There will be some times where you want to give up on everything and let everything go, but if you think differently, and think about the past, all of the efforts you have put in to become who you are today, it will all become a waste! Mistakes can't be redone or be fixed but you can remind yourself with those mistakes and never do them again. I think no one is an official adult, but being adult is knowing that you will never be one. Experience is the most important factor in being an adult. You meet people, you meet people with similarities, you meet people with completely different personalities with you. All of this interaction will shape you in the future.
I forgot where I got this from.. but it stated, "You have people you don't like and people you like, being able to pretend to like the ones that you don't is being an adult." As you encounter different people, you will have to think about yourself first. Put yourself before everything else and think about what you really want. If you want someone else to be in front of you, you let them do that but if that is not necessary, then you don't.
I promised myself to be confident in what I say, what I do, and what I feel. I promised myself to make as little mistakes as possible. I also promised to not let go of the things that shaped me who I am today. Being an adult seems hard, with all of the pressure oppressing you, with burdens that you have to carry. Let's win them all and become successful in the future GO SENIORS and Fighting!

Yes, it's true that we are going to be adults soon. It's actually kind of scary knowing that! Yesterday, we were just teenagers living carefree(?). But now, we have to go out into the real world, find a job, and basically support ourselves. We'll have to go our own separate ways to achieve the dreams that we want.
Other than that, we all want to become successful. And it's as if we need to make the least amount of mistakes as possible in order to become successful. But to me, mistakes are what make people successful. Through mistakes, we learn. As they say, "Knowledge is power."
To everyone, I want to wish all of you the best of luck. You all will do great in the future!

Well, I cannot really believe that time puncooled so quick. First coming to kent seemed like yesterday, but it's been 3 years! I'm kind of worried but looking forward on what is waiting ahead of me. You guys would be going out to different part of the world to pursue your dreams. My personally dream is to be a counselor. I believe that each one of you guys will get to achieve your dreams! Even if plans fail or something happens that is not expected, do stay strong! It's not the end of the world. Work hard in your own path and when we do (if) get a chance to see each other again, show us that you gave an effort and became the person that you wanted to be! Everyone good luck!
P.S. You guys can always come to get help or counseling from me hehehe

I also agree with you Melody. In senior year, we have tons of works to do and we also should prepare for our college. Since I am also making my art portfolios, it takes lots of time of mine. However, i am happy to work on it because I believe that all these steps will help me in the future and this will improve my darwing skills. For my future dream, i really want to become a interior designer or merchandiser. I will chase those dreams and will achieve it lets try hard little bit more and lets get the result what we wanted to get!

As a soon-to-be-legal minor, what I'm looking forward to is college. College is a new stepping stone in our lives and a time for us to - for the first time - truly experience the life of an adult, as we move into dormitories/apartments, manage bills, and take care of ourselves without the guidance of our parents. Since we were little, all we wanted to do was grow up: as children we'd get into our mom's makeup, play house, admire the older cousins who became our future role models. Now, we have to take responsibility for our previous wishes and grow up into the adults we'd always wished to be.
I myself want to enjoy midnight fun with friends at the dorms, juggle the largest workload we have ever seen (though this will be extremely difficult) along with leisure, and study a variety of subjects which weren't available to us at our fairly limited high school. At college, I want to follow a pre-med track and eventually move on to medical school, internship, residency, and eventually fellowship. I know choosing this path will lead to many hardships and years of studying, but I wish to achieve my goal of being a cardiovascular or pediatric surgeon. Good luck to everyone!

I need to wait for a year and 3 more months to be officially adult.. but anyways, I'll be graduating at the same time. I'm kind of scared of the future which is coming so fast. Like..now, I feel so stressed only with the little tiny thing in small society which is school, after we graduate, we're going to face bigger picture, bigger world. It might sound silly but I do really scare about it, I don't think I'm ready yet. Unknown future is always exciting and also frustrating. Like Ms.Boyd said "I choose to be miserable." That is so true! if you have a positive mind set, you choose to be happy and thinking in a good way even though you're in a bad situation. Ehh..just sharing my favorite quote. I hope sometimes I can go back to the time where I first came to Korea, some of the things just went so wrong and it's to late to fix even I want to fix. I don't know what I'm talking about.
Anyways, SENIORS, only about 7,9 months left in high school. Let's do our best to achieve what we want! hehe
