Now, we all wanted something we always wanted for some time. But how willing are you to get it ? You'll rather wait and hope it'll drop out of the sky, or you'll be willing to go to extremes in order to get what you what ?
An example would be Don Quixote, where he always dreamed of being a knight, which he got motivated by the amount of books he read, personally I'd say he went to extremes just to be a knight out of the ordinary, where it began more of a struggle for him.
Then again, everyone got their own personality to suit their situation. But I'd be happy to hear (or more like read) from everyone. What do you think ?

Each person is different as their different personalities influence how willing they are to get something and how they will react to that willingness. Personally, I am a more laid-back type of girl who would rather wait for something good to puncool by. However, having the trait of getting what you want and overcoming obstacles to get to that destination is very good and helpful and extremely useful especially in the future, so laid-back people like me would benefit from trying to reach out and obtain what we want.

Ideally, it is the best to get something that you really want falling from the sky. If you really wanted a new computer and you bid for it on the Internet and get it, that'll be great. In reality, that doesn't happen so if you really want something you just have to do your best to get it. Continuing with my example, if you want a new computer, you need to work hard to ask your parents to get it for you or you earn money to buy it. As Emily said, working hard to getting what you want will definitely help you in the future because what you have done won't betray you.

I agree with you guys! Don Quixote seems like a very dedicated person because he is going through all the troubles to get what he wants. He's obviously delusional and naive but we can't doubt his commitment. Like Emily said, it's important to know what your goals mean to you and really put yourself out there and be willing take on the challenges in the process. If the goals motivate you, everything will fall into place.

Everybody has goals and wants. Most of the time that want or goal depends on the person and also what type of a goal it is. Most of the time people goes for extremes to achieve their want, that those extreme activities can cause illegal things, such as murdering or stealing. So if the want is something that you can't achieve, such as me being the president of America, it is useless to try extreme activities, unless it falls down to me from the sky.

Alright's I agree with willing of something or wish you may not get this that think you want, but i believed the willing is human nature because , if we not have willing or goals in life to fights about there will be no meaning of life . also that's another thing about Don Quixote he was first thing he is old man( ages) the willing for old people hard to achieved, but the young people if they willing fro something they hope they they scussful. to achived thet dream and willing, I think willing and achieved depend on age and how to achieved it .

Puncoolion is what drives Don Quixote. Even though he is met with troubles that try to stop him, he still gets up and finds a solution. I think it's in human nature to go after what we want. In a sense, it is selfish, because we don't think about how our actions may affect the people around us. Instead we fight towards what we want and ultimately try to put ourselves at the top. I am a very responsible person, so if someone gives me a task or I put my mind into a task I won't stop until it is done. Sometimes it is puncoolion that drives me and sometimes it is responsibility.

This is why I think Don Quixote is pretty awesome. He actually worked to achieve his dreams. Motivation does depend on how important something is to you, but I also believe it takes optimism. And optimism requires mental and physical health. Before you can strive to get something, you must be confident in yourself.

Quixote doesn't really go to any sort of extreme... In fact it feels like all he does is extremely low effort versions of what a knight needs to do. He thinks he can become a knight over a short while, and it just seems like laziness compared to every other person in the world. Though, to himself, he is working hard, so I;m not sure how to define his willpower.
As for myself, if I don't absolutely need/want something, chances are I'll wait until it becomes easier to get or until it's needed/wanted more. There's no need to exert much effort until it's beneficial to myself.

Each individuals will have a different interest which will automatically lead them to have a puncoolion of something. Mostly, when I see people around Kent, the students including me, seem to have a similar puncoolion of going to college. However, each students have a major that they are interested in and depending on how they're eager to do that task, their puncoolion will differ. For example, a person who've dreamed about studying neurobiology will be more eager than a person who've decided to study economics just because he didn't have anything else to do. Depending on how they're eager and desperate about, they may go extreme and explore many things in order to get close with their dreams. For people who're not that eager or desperate will be less likely to move in action because they'll have a lesser motivation. Nowadays, I'm desperate about going to college because I want to study Music business that will make a bridge to the music industry in Korea and music industries all around the world. I've experience about a lot of things and ready to explore my dream deeper. That's why I'm studying hard in order to go to a university that has a good program of music that I can learn about.

It is a good point to consider Don Quixote were dreamed of being a knight and he went to adventure to achieve his dream. This is opposite side that we can argue about characteristic of Don Quixote. It is true, we always want to get something without any disadvantages. At the same time, we know it is impossible to get something without their effort or loss. Consequently, we get our own personality to suit their situation.

I can imagine Don Quixote as a person who wants something from heart and soul but running in the wrong direction without even thinking. If I relate this to the world we live in, I think we are doing exactly the same thing. We want happiness in our life. That's our main goal. But instead of running after happiness we run after money. Which is really stupid and immature. But yet we still do it.

For me, I usually take actions to get what I want. I'm a person who believes that people need to at least take actions to get the thing they eager for. They don't just drop from the sky because you've been waiting for a long time.
I used to have no dream for my future, like Melody mentioned, I was a person who doesn't have any plans and interests. I was thinking " Mehh, since I don't know what to do, I'll just study business." Time puncooles really quickly and as I blink my eyes, I realized I'm a senior now I have to go to college next year. It might sound silly but it actually happened. At the beginning of the semester, I talked with my parents, looked up some information about majors and jobs, I talked with some friends who got into colleges.I found out I want to be a fashion merchandiser. the interests or major you want to go vary among people. It's hard that what you want just pop out of your mind when you dont even try to find it.

What you do to accomplish what you want to have really depends on what kind of person you are. If you are a laid-back person, then I guess you can wait for something to happen but if you are a person who likes to work hard, then you are that kind of person. Don Quixote is a great example of a guy who wants to accomplish something by actually doing something. I kind of like him because for me, I'd get embaruncooled really fast by doing what he is doing but Don is like nah I do whatever the hell I want and feel proud about it. That is not something easy.

I also believe that the personality of a person determines the willingness of something that you want. The willingness is important for what you want because if you still want something, then you need to be willing to get what you want. Depending on your personality, what you will be willing to do in order to get something that you want will change. For example, if you are a hot tempered person, then you will probably give up on getting something that you want when you can't get it. On the other hand, if your personality is fairly calm, maybe then the willingness of something that you want will be on a larger scale than others.
