Does person make the times or does Time make the person ?
There are many theories throughout history, why certain people rise to power. like Adolph Hitler became a dictator as the result of the devastation of the German economy at the end of WWI. Fidel Castro came to power as a result of the despotic tactics of the Batista regime, just to cite two examples. Is it possible that a shrewd politico can see the difference and take advantage of the times in which the world finds itself? Or is the converse true? Do the peoples of the world find and support any leader as a result of hard times?
What do you think guys? does the time have more affect to make, or person make time?

I think it depends on the situations. I think, when I study, the time have more effect to me. The time force me to study and makes me prepare to study. The time force me to do something by make me feel nervous. I think when there was no time, than people might not be prepared and there will be no affect in our life. I think by making memories with other people than person make time. We make time more valuable and we make time with people. I think it's really hard to identify what is time and how they influences to us. Some people might think time are numbers that organized in day. I think the time is more than that. I think time is very important and it's important that how we make our time valuable.

This seems to go back to the debate of Nature vs. Nurture. Is it own constituted minds that affect the way we act in society, or is it our environment that determines how we act in society. There is no one right answer because both sides are debatable. We are sometimes influenced by our environment and the people around us to make our decisions. However, most of our instincts control our decisions as well. The nature or nurture of people growing up in a time period is also determined by culture. Not every generation is bound to make the same decisions in life.

No matter how do you try to look at this theory there is only one answer, time is what controls us and we are nothing but bunch of moments stuffed inside us. We don't understand the importance of living the moment when we are in it but eventually regret after it ends. Thinking about it now, I really wish to go back in time. But I don't wanna change anything. I just wanna relive those memories I had because I understand how important they are to shape the present me I am right now and how beautiful they were.

I think it depends on the person. If the person has strong will power and have strong feelings, he or she will be less influenced by time. Example for a someone with strong willpower is Martin Luther King. I think he would have still fought for other injustice in society if he was born in a different time period. After all, the man also participated in protests against the Vietnam War. However some weak old person will let his surroundings influence him too much.

I believe that time has more affect on the person because we make our decisions based on the time. If there is not time then we make fast decisions. For example, if there is an essay due in 30 minutes you got to come with fast and good ideas so you can hand it in on time. However, if there is 1 week left you go very slowly and might take hours to finish that essay. So I believe that time have more effect on humans.

I also agree with many of you that it depends on the person. As social animals, people are most likely to blend in the society. Therefore, in most case, time will make the person. They will believe in similar belief, custom, and culture that is popular or widely accepted during that period. However, there always is someone who is unwilling to follow the flock of sheep. This kind of person will try to change to society to bring about revolution.

I think time is what develops the core of a person. Without time, we won't exist but without us, there wouldn't be time for us but time for others. It is a little confusing because people don't make time. We make leisure time, work time, and 'something' time and use the most of what we have in time. However, time is limited and therefore has a great impact on people. For example, if you were told that you are going to die in three months, you would be doing things that you haven't thought of. Like this, many people act upon how much time you have left or how much time you have. Another great example we see everyday is when we wake up to go to school, that is also time that effects us in our actions daily. To conclude my perspective, time makes us who we are because as Riyad mentioned, time gives us experience and builds the characteristics of ourselves.

I really depends to be honest. People make time in the time that we are given in a day, such as setting up with an appointment with a doctor or meeting a friend in a specific time period. This is in a short term. In the long term, time makes the person itself. Time means experience. The more time one spends on a job, for example a doctor, the more one will be experienced in treating and diagnosing patients. No one can change time. We are only allowed to use a given time period of 24 hours. How we use our limited time can change us personally.

I don't think time decides who we are in neither short term or long term. I believe that it is us humans who decides how time is going to affect you in anyway. Right now it is 21st century and our environment is quite different from what was here 100 years ago. I guess environment does affect you in a way (nature vs nurture debate) but ultimately it is you who decides how you are going to use up your time. For example, Martin Luther King did not let the time influence him but he himself influenced the time. He did not obey what most of people said in that time and played a major role in its revolution. If we look back in time, it is humans who brings changes to this world as time is something that just keeps going. It's like X and Y?

My belief is that it can be pretty safe to say that time is the ultimate sovereign of humans. We may be at the top of every food chain, but we have no power over the effects of time. Adolph Hitler and Fidel Castro did take over during desolate eras, but taking advantage of that period is different from being able to control time. Time still limits us with the amount of minutes it allows us to live on earth. As mortals, the puncooling of time just leads us closer and closer to our demise as living beings. Even those who challenge the norm of their respective culture are subject to following time, for time influences the amount of achievements that iconoclast can accomplish: Steve Jobs created the company that rivaled Samsung, Nelson Mandela lead the anti-apartheid movement, John Nash fought schizophrenia while bringing fundamental contributions to the math world, and Michael Jackson became known as the King of Pop, but time stopped their reign. They were no longer able to physically contribute to the real world (though they did inspire many others to come to prominence), becoming left behind as legacies who footsteps to follow.
